Real songs... Real emotions… Real you…
A London indie rock band still crafting emotional music from their hearts and hands in an increasingly synthetic world
Steve MacDream Colours is a guitar-centric indie rock band built around narrative songwriting and understated vocals, combining melodic composition, expressive guitar work and detailed lyricism to create songs that move from reflective intimacy into more expansive, band-driven arrangements shaped by dynamics and progression.
We make music the way it’s meant to be made — played together, shaped by instinct, experience, and the chemistry of musicians in a room.
No shortcuts. No formulas. Just songs that are played, lived, and felt.
In a time when much of music is processed, optimised, or generated, we take a different path:
Real instruments
Real performances
Real emotions
We embrace imperfection, spontaneity, and the subtle tension that makes music human.
Each song is part of an ongoing search for connection, meaning, and the belief that music can still move us in ways nothing else can.
Steve MacDream Colours brings together songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Steve, alongside Pete (drums and percussions), Emi (bass), and Alan (lead guitar).
Recently featured in Indie Sound magazine, across four albums and thirty-seven released tracks since 2019, the band has quietly carved out a distinct place for themselves in the underground scene, earning a reputation as a guitar act that pairs classic songcraft with modern indie rock dynamics.
“Steve MacDream Colours on Finding the Missing Pieces and Making Music to Feel Alive” (Indie Sound)
“Why the group chose total creative independence over label contracts to protect their artistic vision and maintain a genuine connection with their listeners”
“Following the 2025 album Still Here, which solidified their current line‑up and live sound, Steve MacDream Colours are now preparing their most ambitious project to date: Along The Road, their fifth full‑length album, scheduled for release October 2026. Exploring themes of resilience, environmental consciousness, and shared human experience, the record is poised to introduce a much wider audience to a band that has spent years refining its craft under the radar.”
