Where Song Colours Come Alive

Steve MacDream Colours is an indie rock band centred on songwriting, combining melodic composition, expressive guitar work, and emotionally detailed lyricism to create music that balances reflective intimacy with energetic band-driven arrangements.

Recently featured in Indie Sound magazine, London-based indie rock band Steve MacDream Colours is built around songwriter and guitarist Steve MacDream on vocals, the rhythm section foundation of percussionist Pete on drums and the unflappable Emi on electric bass, while all-round musician Alan electrifies the audience on lead guitar.

Across four albums and thirty-seven released tracks since 2019, the band has quietly carved out a place for themselves in the underground scene, earning a reputation as a guitars act that pairs classic songcraft with modern indie rock dynamics.

Their music combines melodic guitar‑driven arrangements with emotionally narrative lyrics that explore memory, relationships, social awareness, and personal renewal. The result is a sound that feels familiar yet distinct: reflective, hook‑focused songs that can sit comfortably beside 1970s songwriting giants while speaking directly to the present.

Following the 2025 album Still Here, which solidified their current line‑up and live sound, Steve MacDream Colours are now preparing their most ambitious project to date: Along The Road, their fifth full‑length album, scheduled for release October 2026. Exploring themes of resilience, environmental consciousness, and shared human experience, the record is poised to introduce a much wider audience to a band that has spent years refining its craft under the radar.
